Zion Hill Baptist Church is a small business in Spartanburg, SC. Our goal is to Know Christ and make Him known!.

1. This person will have had a personal experience with the Lord Jesus Christ in salvation, possess strong Scriptural background, and be knowledgable of and in agreement with Southern Baptist beliefs and doctrines.

2. This person will work with the pastor to arrange and lead the musical part of the worship services. (A meeting with the pastor for evaluation and planning of services will be a requirement) Zion Hill uses a blend of traditional and contemporary worship.

3. This person will direct, plan and coordinate the music program. Part of this ministry will be to coordinate graded choirs and/or ensembles as needed and as possible.

b. Ensembles and individuals (as available)

4. This person will possess some degree of administrative skills. This will be helpful as one works with the organization of supplies, acquiring needed materials, managing the music budget, and recruitment of new choir members.

5. This person will be willing, if asked, to assist with music for weddings and funerals that do not conflict with their full-time employment. They will select music for special programs (Easter, 4thof July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Revivals, etc…), ministries, and other related activities.

6. This person will communicate to the pastor the goals and vision for the music ministry. They can use the church bulletin, website, etc., to communicate with the church family and community.

7. This person will demonstrate a high level of pastoral care, giving to people who are experiencing difficulty in their lives, particularly to the members of our body who participate in the music ministry. Genuine love and compassion for people are vital necessities.

8. Faithful in financial stewardship (including tithes), Bible Studies, mission emphasis, church services, training, and outreach.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8,000.00 - $16,000.00 per year
