Community Health Center (CHC) offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at four convenient locations.CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family – from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling and critical prenatal care. 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Part Time (20 Hours) Dental Hygienist to work at our Red Bank, NJ facility. This position will be responsible for providing clinical care and program administration for the Dental Center.

Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities:

• Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
• Works with the Dentist to develop, implement and evaluate the operation strategies of the Dental Center
• Provides patient care and dental health screenings in accordance with agency guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Conducts oral health education sessions as appropriate and represents the dental center projects in the schools
• Prepares documentation and provides administrative support to the Dental Center
• Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
• Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

Qualifications

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred

Must have a valid current NJ State Dental Hygiene License, CPR, Infection Control, and other training certificates as required

1-7 years of experience working with dental health screening programs as well as working with community and school based programs

Strong computer skills

Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills

Current and valid driver’s license

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Business Office Environment within a fast paced healthcare center with heavy customer service, phones and computer use; client/customer contact
