Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania is the local affiliate of the country’s leading sexual and reproductive health care advocate and provider. This is a part-time administrative position for an experienced registered nurse to work in collaboration with the Patient Services leadership to coordinate and perform training and evaluation functions for all registered nurses within Abortion Services. This is a 21 hour/week position with the opportunity to pick up additional hours. Hours vary weekly according to training and evaluation calendars. Position requires travel to abortion centers throughout the four-county service area. The salary for this position is $41/hour based on training and experience.

Essential Functions

• Develop, refine, and deliver training for registered nursing staff, including orientation and onboarding for new hires and advanced and refresher trainings for current staff. (Topics include but not limited to: recovery room preparation and management, emergency procedures, medication administration, IV placement and fluid management, physician support, documentation, laboratory procedures and oversight, patient follow-up, after hours call, etc) 
• Coordinate and perform annual peer reviews for registered nurses within abortion centers 
• Provide support to RNs who are having issues/concerns with clinical performance, documentation, etc. 
• Support Director of Clinical Services in the implementation of new and expanded services, participate in updating policies, procedures, SOPs, medical standards and guidelines 
• Perform all duties of the Registered Nurse position when not working as a Lead Registered Nurse and other duties as assigned 

• OB/GYN experience REQUIRED
• Experience training medical staff REQUIRED
• RN license and Bachelor’s Degree required 
• Planned Parenthood experience as abortion services registered nurse preferred 
• Epic experience preferred 
• BLS, ACLS, and PALs certification required within the first month of hire
• Must travel to all abortion locations within four-county area 
• Must be available to work Saturdays 
• Must be on the rotation schedule for the after-hours medical call system 
• Demonstrated ability to relate to persons of diverse background and ability to communicate effectively with patients.
