Job Position: Process Mapping Facilitator: Part time Contract

Purpose: The Process Mapping Facilitator plays a critical role in analyzing and improving organizational processes by facilitating the creation and documentation of process maps. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders across departments to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance overall operational effectiveness. The Process Mapping Facilitator will utilize their expertise in process mapping methodologies and tools to guide teams through the process mapping process, identify improvement opportunities, and drive implementation of best practices.

Responsibilities

Main Objectives:

  • Will work part time 16 to 24 hours a week or an average of 2-3 days per week.
  • Facilitate the completion of Knobelsorff’s Internal Playbook
  • Assist technical writers in the completion of Processes with a focus on Job instructions, standard operating procedures, and documentation.
  • Assist technical writers in the timely completion and updates to safety processes mapping, and SOP & Manual updates and revisions.
  • Facilitate Process Mapping Workshops: Lead workshops with cross-functional teams to document current state processes, identify pain points, and gather insights for improvement.
  • Utilize Process Mapping Tools: Proficiently use process mapping tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart) to create clear and comprehensive process maps that accurately represent current workflows.
  • Analyze Process Maps: Analyze process maps to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization or automation.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to understand business requirements, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Drive Process Improvement Initiatives: Propose and champion process improvement initiatives based on insights gathered from process mapping exercises.
  • Document Best Practices: Document best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines for process mapping and improvement activities.
  • Provide Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to teams on process mapping methodologies, tools, and best practices to build internal capability and ensure consistency in approach.
  • Monitor and Measure Progress: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of process improvements and track progress over time.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in process mapping and improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Familiarity with Lean processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in facilitating process mapping workshops and leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of process mapping methodologies, such as BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation), SIPOC (Supplier, Input, Process, Output, Customer), and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, IBM Blueworks Live).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
  • Possess Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive initiatives to completion.

Prefer:

  • Prefer someone with Construction background experience.
  • Master's Degree business administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Certification in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
