About Us: Dancing Moose Montessori is a preschool dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe in the importance of individualized education and fostering a love for learning in every child.

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children in an educational setting, a strong understanding of behavior management techniques, and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct behavior observations and assessments for children in the preschool setting.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies, including Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions, to support the social and emotional development of children.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement child-specific plans to address behavioral challenges and promote positive outcomes.
  • Coordinate and facilitate academic assessments and district testing as needed.
  • Attend parent meetings with the school director to discuss child progress, behavior goals, and intervention strategies.
  • Provide support during naptime and assist with child care licensing standards compliance.
  • Occasionally teach in our Bite-Sized Learning sessions, providing engaging and interactive educational experiences for children.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience working with young children in a preschool or educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavior management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
  • Knowledge of child care licensing standards and regulations preferred.
