BRIGHTRIDGE is Hiring a Cashier Part Time Near Johnson, TN

JOB SUMMARY:

To create a positive image of BrightRidge with each customer contact. To receive and post customers' payments to their account.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

  • Accept payment for monthly billing from customers and post to their account
  • Balance day-to-day business to include tickets, checks, cash, money orders, and credit card payments
  • Prepare bank deposits and turn in daily cash reports to the Lead Cashier.
  • Open, sort, balance, and post payments from the night deposit box
  • Direct customers to various BrightRidge
  • Assist with the opening of mail
  • Must possess general knowledge of NISC and Contact
  • Must demonstrate and convey support in the Quality Service Program and the CS Standard of Behavior
  • Promote BrightRidge services and initiatives. Adhere to company policies, directives, and procedures at all times.
  • Must comply with BrightRidge Cash Handling Safety and Control Procedures.
  • Assist residential customers with payment arrangements on electric and broadband services.
  • Sit and stand at a computer while completing various cashier and other tasks throughout the day.
  • Ability to maintain reliable, predictable, and reasonable attendance

ADDITIONALRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Reception area coverage and assist with completing the daily front desk responsibilities.
  • Cross-train in Account Services and assist in that capacity as needed
  • Be available for after-hours problem repairs, outages, and scheduled work to include working fair share of all necessary overtime.
  • Must maintain a valid drivers' license from the state of residence
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned; not limited to but to include clerical, collections, and special tasks/assignments.

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS,ANDABILITIES:

  • Must be able to operate a 10-key calculator with speed and st possess P/C skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to relate to all socioeconomic levels of people
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and positively both orally and in writing
  • Must know and understand service policies and practices of BrightRidge.
  • Must know the principles of positive customer contact, especially with disgruntled customers
  • Must have knowledge of data entry procedures
  • Must be able to handle money efficiently and accurately
  • Must possess strong face-to-face communication
  • Must display a high degree of honesty, loyalty, and integrity

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS:

Work requires constant computer use which entails reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, fine manipulation, vision, talking, hearing, and hand/arm use for machine control operation. Left or right head rotation, forward and side head bending, walking, change of position, reaching across midline, stooping, and firm grasp is required. Majority of the day requires frequent standing, occasionally walking from one register to another, occasionally lift money trays weighing approximately 11 pounds, and exert static push force of 30 pounds to open/close vault door.

WORKINGCONDITIONS:

Work is performed in an indoor climate-controlled office environment with appropriate lighting. Normal working hours may extend beyond standard hours of operation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year prior experience in a Cashier position preferred
