Your day-to-day work will include:

Aeyon is seeking a Risk Management Internal Controls (RMIC) Specialist in the Department of Defense (DoD), supporting the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). This subject matter expert will be part of a team that analyzes, tests, and provides remediation recommendations for enterprise-level internal controls and assists in the planning and development of the agency’s annual Statement of Assurance (SOA).

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare risk assessments and conducting internal controls testing for operational effectiveness
• Develop, review, and update new and existing business process controls.
• Prepare internal control assessments, execute test plans, document and brief the test results
• Communication with key stakeholders and process owners

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 years of relevant experience with Financial Management, Risk Management, and Internal Control evaluations.
• Experience with leading client meetings with relevant personnel to gain an understanding of business processes and identify gaps in the process.
• Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures and other Department of Defense Instructions and Manuals applicable to the program in order to develop, review, and update new and existing business process controls.
• Experience in preparing risk assessments and conducting internal controls testing for operational effectiveness.
• Experience preparing internal control assessments, developing and executing test plans, documenting results, and briefing the test results to various departments to ensure continuity of risk management tasks.

Waivable/Substitutable: CPA, CISA, CDFM, CGFM, CFE, CIA Preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Mandatory: Bachelor's or Master’s Degree Preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Work hours:

Here at Aeyon we believe in creating an environment that fosters a healthy work/ life balance. The typical day consists of a 9-5 Monday-Friday work schedule totaling 40 hours per week, but we do realize that life happens, and things come up. Many of our positions allow some flexibility in the work schedule for unforeseen events so that our employees can maintain a 40-hour work week and still have the opportunity to meet other obligations during the workday.
