Job Overview:
Amistad Academy Elementary School is an inclusive public school serving students in Grades K-4. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable long-term substitute Teacher to join our team and cover a long-term leave through June. As a substitute teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by providing quality education in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Responsibilities:
- Follow lesson plans and deliver instruction to students in various subjects and grade levels
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians
- Provide tutoring and support to students who may need additional assistance
- Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum plans
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of preschool through grade-level curriculum
- Proficient in lesson planning and delivery
- Excellent behavior management skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to educate and engage students in meaningful learning experiences
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support
- Familiarity with curriculum development principles
- Strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies

Certifications:
- Applicants must have a Bachelors' degree or higher
-Preference for applicants with degrees in education or related fields
