Philadelphia, PA Clinical Instructor (Part-time)

Philadelphia, PA

Compensation: $38 p/h

Our client is looking for Clinical Instructors to join their growing home health care team in the Philadelphia, PA area.

Their mission is to redefine care for the most vulnerable children and make healthcare accessible to all. The healthcare system is failing special needs children, especially those from underserved homes. It’s a struggle to find care, to afford care, and to receive the quality of care that they deserve.

Our client is a venture-backed start-up, currently in stealth mode, and well-funded by world-class investors and phenomenal digital health leaders. The company's founder grew up on Medicaid (public insurance) and personally knows the desperation of being unable to afford necessary medical care.

The Role:

Our Client is looking for passionate Clinical Instructors in Philadelphia or surrounding metro areas to join their team. In this role, you'll help prepare students to become Home Health Aids and equip them with all the necessary skills and tools to best take care of others.

You will help train parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to become HHAs.

In this Role you will:

  • Create and implement skill training classes. You'll be involved in creating the structure for our HHA clinical sessions, and implement the plan with our students after they finish their online portion of training.
  • Collaborate with HHA students. You'll accompany and support students as they complete their in-person component of training in long-term care facilities.
  • Brainstorm and execute on additional learning modules. You’ll work with our Client's medical partners to ideate and execute on additional modules to upskill their students and their medical know-how.
  • MUST be available to work two weekends a month

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse (RN) or LPN with at least two years of nursing experience working with children with autism, geriatrics, long-term care, or the chronically ill of any age

  • Must reside in the Harrisburg area
  • Must have CPR certification
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • MUST be available to work two weekends a month
  • Role will likely be 16-20 hours per week. Consecutive days a week availability, ideal

Benefits Include:

  • Schedule Flexibility
  • Paid company trips to Client’s headquarters and team bonding retreats

What makes our Client the home health provider of the 21st century:

  • Digital health integrations- They leverage telehealth to give their clinical teams superpowers. They build technology to decrease clinical burnout and improve the measurement of health outcomes.
  • Clinical excellence- They strive to deliver the best-in-class care to their patient families. Their culture encourages clinical growth and emphasizes quality in all their clinical processes.
  • Parent training and support- They believe that parents are key to a child's wellbeing and health. Their care model incorporates family support into treatment plans.
