Handel and Haydn Society | Part-Time Telesales Representative

Reports to: Calling Campaign Manager

Job Summary/Purpose: If you are a fan of Baroque and Classical music, and enjoy speaking with fellow music-lovers, you may be a perfect fit for the new Handel and Haydn Society Telesales Campaign! This is an outbound sales and fundraising position. Speak with loyal H H audience members over the phone about our newly announced 2024-25 Season. Sell customized subscription packages to our eight-concert season and ask for donations.

Representatives participate in weekly team meetings on Zoom, and use a web-based telephone application to make calls. Paid training is provided. This is a fun and supportive work environment, with opportunities to meet and interact with H H staff. Free ticket opportunities also exist!

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Baroque and Classical music strongly preferred.
• Good familiarity with the performing arts in Boston.
• Confident and comfortable speaking with people on the telephone.
• Sales experience is preferred but not required.
• Fundraising experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong Internet connection. Proficient with Google Workspace. Good overall computer competency.

Schedule and Compensation:

• The position is fully remote and begins in Spring 2024.
• Part-time flexible schedule; three to five shifts per week available.
• Emphasis on weekday evening hours, with some daytime hours available.
• Compensation is a base hourly rate of $15.40/hr. plus generous sales commissions. Strong sales representatives can make $20/hr., or more.
