Wound Care Physician

Reports to: Medical Director / Supervising Physician

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Wound care provider is responsible for provision of patient care as directed by the needs of Omni Wound Physicians. The wound care provider is responsible for working within their scope of practice and in collaboration with the Medical Director and other clinical staff to provide and manage advanced wound care/G-tube management or replacement in the patient’s place of residence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Lead multidisciplinary teams during regularly scheduled weekly rounds at various facilities and in the home.
• Provide wound care services to patients in residential homes and in partner facilities: skilled nursing, assisted living, as well as to home health and hospice patients.
• Assess patients’ health status by reviewing relevant health and medical history.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies to assess change to patients’ health care needs.
• Develop a treatment plan for wound care based on diagnosis.
• Perform bedside wound care procedures including debridement techniques, cleansing, dressings, pressure relief, pain control, and odor control.
• Track the progress of wound healing.
• Maintain daily productivity expectations.
• Management of wound care types: skin grafts, ultramist, debridements. oMaintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records. oEngage partner facility nurses to assist with wound care.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical, and other healthcare team members regularly to ensure quality patient care.
• Champion in customer service.
• Be a leader in motivating and encouraging patients and patient caregivers.
• Provide clear direction to achieve goals, creating an environment that fosters team commitment and employee engagement.
• Attend regularly scheduled team meetings, for continued training, team building, and leadership development.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $162,500.00 per year
