Part-time schedule required:
8:00am-12pm - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
8:30am-12:30pm - Wednesday Complete Description: Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
• Redeem stamps and coupons
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the area
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges

Qualifications:

high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field or related area;

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences;
• Ability to perform basic business applications Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• High School Diploma: 2 years (Preferred)
• Cashier exp process cash transactions, issuing receipts: 2 years (Preferred)
• Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Suites: 2 years (Preferred)
• communicate effectively both orally and in writing: 2 years (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Washington, DC 20001 (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
