Occupational Health Physician

Cetechs, a Service-Disabled Veteran owned company is seeking an Occupational Health Physician (OHP) to provide occupational health, project management, supervisor services and oversee the medical surveillance program in support of the Occupational Health Clinic on DLA Distribution, San Joaquin (DDJC). Clinic hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, excluding currently observed Federal Holidays. The OHP will provide services a minimum of sixteen (16) hours per month.

Note: DDJC Occupational Health Clinic is not a primary care facility. The clinic's primary function is to provide occupational health services such as job related physical, pre-employment physicals, fit for duty evaluation, immunizations in accordance with DOD/DLA Regulation/Instructions, OPM Classification and Qualification Standards and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, as well as first aid work-related medical care for workplace injuries and illnesses.

Physician & Program Management Support:

• The OHP is responsible for overseeing the medical surveillance program, which shall include the review, assessment, and signature on all exam forms and test results for medical services performed in the clinic.
• Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, consultation on medical and medical-legal issues pertaining to the health and safety of patients.
• Meetings with various personnel.
• Availability (within 24 hours) to Clinic for medical advice when not in clinic

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (OD) degree
• California State Medical License
• Board Certification - American Board of Preventive Medicine in Occupational Medicine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum of five (5) years work experience in:
  • Developing and managing a comprehensive organized occupational health program (e.g., medical surveillance, hearing conservation, respirator use, asbestos, hazardous chemicals, blood borne pathogens and radiation).
  • On-site management of an occupational health facility at the employer's work site.
  • Managing cases for Federal Worker's Compensation Program.
  • Requirements/standards governing worldwide deployment criteria.
  • Assessing Government personnel for deployment in accordance with DoD standards of fitness.
  • Conducting medical - legal evaluations and testifying at various legal proceedings.
