Provide specialized intensive instruction in core curricular academic areas necessary for secondary and post-secondary success of Upward Bound participants. Reports to the Coordinator.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Instruct participants in relevant content area; submit curriculum content outline of material covered in each instructional session or lab; maintain attendance logs for submission to Coordinator; evaluate and document participant progress by utilizing pre- and post-tests or other evaluative measures for submission to Coordinator; serve as mentor to participants; serve on curriculum development team when requested; and, provide evaluation of participants, activities, and services to Upward Bound staff.

Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate curriculum area required; Master’s preferred.
Preference given for: Minimum 3 years’ prior successful teaching experience with high school or college students; prior successful experience working with low-income, first-generation youth and/or ethnically and racially diverse student populations; and, background similar to target population.
