Job DescriptionInova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a part time experienced ICU Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. This is a full-time night shift position (2 x 12-hour shifts/week). Sign on bonus!The Intensive Care Unit at Fair Oaks Hospital is a 12-bed unit with a patient population that includes, but not limited to, end-stage disease processes, sepsis, post-partum emergencies, respiratory failure, post-operative care and others that require more intensive nursing care. This patient population requires care from nurses that have successfully completed the critical care fellowship and/or have experience caring for the critically ill patient population. Your participation in learning new knowledge, developing new skills and meeting program objectives to be able to practice in assigned patient care delivery settings while utilizing and applying new knowledge is essential. Demonstrating willingness to learn under the direct supervision of an experienced RN and through various other training formats is required.Requirements A minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Strongly prefer 2 years ICU experience. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date. RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from American Heart Association Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
