Job Title: Psychologist Associate (Part-Time)

Reports to: Assistant Clinical Director

Summary: 

The Psychologist Associate at Key Essentials to Behavior Management is responsible for providing psychological services to children and adults with disabilities. This part-time position involves working collaboratively with clients, families, and the marketing and business development team to bring in new clients and ensure the success of our services. The Psychologist Associate will primarily work in-clinic (integrated therapy and play space). 

Responsibilities for Psychologist Associate Duties:

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to diagnose and determine appropriate treatment plans for individuals with disabilities.
• Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for clients based on their unique needs and goals.
• Provide individual and group therapy to clients using various therapeutic modalities.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Conduct research and stay updated on current trends and advancements in the field of psychology.
• Collaborate with the marketing and business development team to actively participate in client recruitment efforts.
• Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new clients.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and their families to address any concerns or questions.
• Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
• Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by the American Psychological Association (APA) and other relevant regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field.
• Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist (for Psychologist Associate duties).
• Proficiency in using psychological assessment tools and therapeutic modalities (for Psychologist Associate duties).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in using technology for data collection and analysis.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

• (Bonus) ADOS testing certification

Working Conditions:

• This is a part-time position with variable working hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
• The Psychologist Associate will primarily work in clinic. However, they may be required to provide services via Telehealth.
• Interaction with clients and families may involve physical contact and possible exposure to challenging behaviors.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required as per health and safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements

Occasional Requirements (1-3 hours): Sitting, standing, walking, simple grasping, power grasping, pushing, pulling, reach above shoulder, reach waist level, reach below waist, reach below knee, ending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, driving personal vehicle.

Rare Requirements (0-1): Hand and wrist work, keyboarding, fine manipulation, climbing stairs, lifting/carrying 1-50lbs.

The field of Applied Behavior Analysis may involve direct contact with individuals that may potentially exhibit aggressive and/or extremely challenging behaviors (i.e. spitting, hitting, kicking, throwing of objects, etc.).
