Position Summary:

The tailor is responsible to alter, modify, and repair client product sample garments to ensure proper fit on the model selected for photography. The tailor will work directly with the photography production team and clients, defining technical and fit specifications for the garments. This position should be a skilled tailor and have a mastery of fabrics, patterns, shapes, and colors.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

1. Altering product samples to fit photography models.

2. Working quickly with repairs and fixes as styling requirements change and evolve.

Position Duties:

• Working quickly to alter garments to fit models for production photography.
• Ensure proper measurements, adjustments, and fittings.
• Ensure alterations are completed quickly, per client specifications.

Knowledge and experience:

• 2 - 4 years of experience in fashion or related field.
• Fashion Design degree or equivalent education and experience in professional fashion tailoring and garment alteration.
• Experience in altering production samples for photography sessions is highly desired.
• Mastery of industrial sewing machines, alterations, and stitching techniques.
• Ability to handle multiple garment alterations simultaneously while ensuring seamless execution through stellar organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to details with ability to focus on a repetitive task.
• Ability to work both independently and within a changing team.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment and adapt to changes in workload/work schedules.
• Respectful and courteous when interacting with others, a calm and collaborative demeanor is expected when working through conflict.
• Must have proficient basic math skills and ability to read, write, and speak English.
