Sales and Install Consultant (Total Service Provider)

Rockwood Shutters, Blinds and Shades has an immediate opening for a confident and ambitious Sales Consultant and Installation Professional, a Total Service Provider with a strong sense for window coverings sales and installations. This would be a part time position.

Do you like being your own boss? If so, we are looking for an energetic, professional Total Service Provider. As a Total Service Provider, you will be responsible for in home sales of Rockwood Shutter products, as well as blinds & shades. You will also be responsible for the installation of the products after the sale. While maintaining all standards and procedures set forth by the Rockwood team, to ensure that we deliver a wonderful window coverings experience for our customers on every sale, measure and installation.

We are looking for previous experience in window coverings sales and installations (interior blinds, shades and shutters). Experience with cabinetry, trim carpentry, or wood working would be a plus but not necessary. Reliable transportation is a must. We require a high-top cargo van or enclosed trailer to securely transport the shutters.

You MUST have:

• An enclosed trailer or high-top cargo van. A 6X12' is preferred but you can get by with a 5'X10'. Keep in mind you could be installing up to $12,000 worth of products daily - they require safe & dry transportation.
• A current Gen iPad with cellular capability. The Home Depot and Rockwood Shutters remove the hassles of traditional paperwork by using electronic signatures and documents.
• Cordless drills, impact driver(s), ladder(s), multi tool, hand tools ETC. An extensive suggested tool list is provided, and most craftsmen have 80-90% of what we require.
• Contractor liability insurance, vehicle insurance, trailer insurance and a clean driving record with your valid current state license.
• Cell phone with camera to send pictures and speak with the office onsite if needed.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

· This is a 1099 Subcontractor position.

· Appointment based selling and installing of Rockwood Shutters & Bali window coverings products.

· You would complete in-home sales consultations from leads generated through The Home Depot.

· Subcontractor will handle all in home sales, measuring, installation and warranty service for customers of The Home Depot in a designated market area.

· Subcontractor will maintain current and valid Home Depot badges, appropriate insurance, required tools, vehicles & trailer as outlined in the Rockwood Technician packet.

· Subcontractor will indemnify Rockwood Shutters for fines levied by The Home Depot for rule violations or for damage to a customer’s home or property.

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
