Minot Infant Development Program Early Interventionist - Part Time

Position Summary: The North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities (NDCPD) @ MSU is seeking applicants to serve as an Part-Time Early Interventionist for our Minot Infant Development Program (MIDP).

Position Responsibilities: The person hired for this position will be responsible for providing early intervention services to families of children enrolled in MIDP using a coach and consult model. Travel will be required primarily in the Minot region. Specific duties are listed below:

• Facilitate home visits per the needs of enrolled children and assist parents/families with techniques and information.
• Implement applicable assessment measures to project-enrolled children along with the completion of a final report with programming recommendations based on the results of the child’s assessment.
• Prepare for and facilitate Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) meetings for project-enrolled children.
• Complete data and performance data on child performance as required by the funding agency’s policies and procedures.

Participate in trans-disciplinary development activities and meetings by collaborating with other program staff and team members regarding development needs (cognitive, social, education, self-help, motor, language).
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of an entry-level degree with ND licensure in Early Childhood Special Education, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology. Experience in working with children, writing technical reports or grants, and basic research activities is helpful but not necessary. The chosen applicant must be able to handle confidential situations, demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and interact positively with clients and constituents, and be task-oriented with diligent follow-through. The chosen applicant must have a valid driver’s license and satisfy a criminal history background check prior to employment.
