Meet Our Lilac Family!

Welcome to our sweet Lilac family! They are located in the quaint neighborhood of Noe Valley in San Francisco. Currently, they are seeking a nurturing and warm and loving part-time Nanny/ Family Assistant for their 9-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son.

Responsibilities include facilitating school pick-ups, any homework help and of course having fun with the kids! As mentioned in the schedule below we are looking for a candidate with the flexibility to commit to a part-time schedule but also work occasional full days. We can guarantee more hours with family assistant duties for the right candidate. They can offer a family car but it’s a nice to have if the candidate has their own vehicle as well. Additional date night hours are also a nice to have.

The family has a warm, positive vibe! Their 5-year-old son is a sweet, inquisitive little boy who loves to garden and engage in creative play. Their 9-year-old daughter is outgoing and social, she loves art, music and sports. A great fit for their family would be a candidate who is fun, energetic and who can vacillate between both children’s age related interests. They value open communication and a warm and loving demeanor. They think of this person as a part of their family and are only looking for a long-term candidate who can make a multi-year commitment.

The schedule is Monday through Friday from about 1/2:30 pm to about 5:30/6 pm. They have some flexibility on start and end times but can guarantee 15-30 hours per week for the right candidate. They are also looking for a candidate who has the flexibility to work a longer day when the children are out of school. This would mean that there would be occasional days that are 9-5. A perfect candidate would be someone who has the flexibility in their day to occasionally work full days but primarily afternoon-evening hours.

A great fit would be a a student or candidate with a flexible schedule that can increase hours as needed who is looking for a guaranteed 15-30 hours per week. Someone with a youthful energy who is creative and active who can make a long-term commitment to our family!

Duties:

• Driving: Responsible for pick-ups, drop-offs, and city driving for activities.

• Organizing: Assist with organizing clothing, toys, and general organizational projects.

• Laundry: Handle kids' laundry, with the possibility of including parents' laundry.

• Errands: Run errands such as dry cleaning and package deliveries.

• Family Meal Prep: Help with meal preparation, including Instacart orders, Whole Foods runs, and 3-4 days per week of meal prep.

Qualifications:

• Experience with school-age children, understanding their unique needs and developmental stages.

• Excellent and safe driving skills, with a clean DMV record and familiarity with navigating the city.

• A genuine passion for working with children, demonstrating love and care in all interactions.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, proficient English and the ability to assist with afterschool homework.

• Adaptability to meet the family's needs and routines, while also assisting with household tasks such as laundry, meal prep, errands, tidying, and organizing.

• Seeking a long-term position with a commitment of 1-5 years.

To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:

• A minimum of 2-5 years of recent, professional experience as a nanny.

• Impressive references from past employers, attesting to your professionalism and exceptional caregiving abilities.

• Willingness to undergo two background checks:

• Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.

• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• CPR & First Aid certified.

• Current vaccinations, including TB & Tdap.
