TITLE:  Testing Health Care Professional (Part-Time; Multiple Positions)

LOCATION: District-Wide

SUPERVISOR: Superintendent and/or Rapid Testing Site Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: 

Urbana School District is accepting applications for a part-time Testing Health Care Professional (15-20 hours/week) who will assist in the collection of rapid Covid-19 tests. This position will operate under the policy and procedures of USD116. The Health Care Professional will collect testing results, and assist the site supervisor with best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Document and check testee personal information
• Work check-in table, giving instructions to those in line about how to proceed
• Assist with the collection of Covid-19 rapid tests
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Process and read results of tests
• Assist with collecting information for the Public Health reporting
• Direct the testee through the testing process
• Travel to additional testing sites when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and/or current RN Illinois Nursing License
• Prior professional nursing experience in a pediatric, adolescent, or community environment preferred but not required
• Good understanding of HIPAA and Compliance
• Must have a good work ethic, be able to follow and give clear instructions, be friendly and able to work well with the public.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other staff in a timely manner
• Must be flexible and able to adjust to new protocols as they emerge
• Must be adept at consistently multitasking while accurately attending to detail
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors assisting and administering Covid-19 tests
• Demonstrate customer service and compassion when interacting with testees
• Follow policy and respect strict confidentiality
• Have reliable transportation
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• All necessary PPE will be provided.
• Training will be provided.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• This position is part-time for an undetermined period of time.
• This is a non-contractual position and a non-UEA position.
• There are no benefits offered with this position.
• Work hours can vary. Must be available between 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
