Dominion Care is Hiring a 1:1 Behavior Aide Near Edinburg, VA

 

**$1,000 Sign On Bonus**

  • Significant experience working with at-risk youth and/or children/adults with disabilities.
  • Knowledge behavioral problem solving, anger management techniques in their daily lives in all school settings.
  • Provide weekly data collection, anecdotal records, a summary of the student’s progress to the teacher, administrator or school designee.
  • Willingness to commit to the student every day for the entire school year and/or summer term. 
  • Works under the direction of the classroom teacher (both general and exceptional education); providing support with the implementation of academic and behavioral goals in adherence with the student’s current IEP and BIP. 
  • Keeps student within sight, sound and supervision at all times. 
  • Support student with classroom tasks and manage behaviors - including redirection, and completion of all work assignments
  • Provides de-escalation and/or needed interventions in situations where the student is upset or in a crisis.
  • Motivates the student to be successful serving as a foundation for meeting IEP and BIP goals. 
  • Develops positive working relationship with all school personnel, providing weekly feedback to school designee regarding student progress. 
  • Provides monthly report of student progress towards BIP goals. 

 Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with at-risk youth and/or children/adults with disabilities.
  • Desire to work in a team-based setting, maintaining daily communications with staff and assisting with the academic and functional instruction under the direction of the teacher.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Flexibility to adapt your role to tailor to the classroom environment
  • and manage behaviors.
