Broadstep Behavioral Health is Hiring a Peer Support Specialist - Part Time Near Morehead, NC
Broadstep Behavioral Health Inc. is seeking a Part Time Certified Peer Support Specialist to serve as a team member our treatment team that provides direct clinical care to adults and children in our community based and in-home care programs in North Carolina. This position works closely with other clinical members of a defined team and serves an integral role in the treatment of patients in the behavioral health continuum.

Broadstep’s North Carolina services include a wide array of mental health and substance use programs and services. Job Duties:
- Identify with consumers as a person in mental health recovery in a manner that is supportive and encouraging
- Establish supportive, therapeutic rapport with the service recipients;
- Communicate and provide information as to the purpose of peer support and recovery models
- Intentionally share their Recovery Story as appropriate to assist service recipients, providing hope, safety, trust and opportunity in promoting adaptive life skill and behaviors
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years
- Stong Documentation Skills
- Ability to Analyze Detailed Information
- Strong Verbal Communication Skills
- Peer Support Certification
- Medical/Dental/Vision
