Patient Transporter
Provides transport services between various nursing departments in the medical center in a safe, efficient customer service-oriented manner. Assures that transports are done in accordance with both the department and hospital policies and procedures, with the priority of providing support for a safe environment. Transport duties include but are not limited to patients, equipment, and supplies. Provides assistance with patient transfers, as part of the patient care team. Under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse, performs nursing care activities, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient requiring clinical observation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education - High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience - Previous transport, patient care, patient observation or customer service delivery experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification - Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Customer Service, Customer Focus, Bedside Manner
