Position Opening: Substance Abuse Disorder Technician
Position Summary: The Chemical Dependency Technician, under the direction of the Nursing
Supervisor, will be responsible for coordinating outpatient services. These services include: scheduling
outpatient appointments & assessments, performing insurance reviews, compliance reports, billing, urine
drug screening and vital signs.
Job Requirements: NAC/MA license required and willingness to cross train for certification as a
Specimen Test Technician; One (1) year chemical dependency experience preferred; unit secretary
experience with knowledge of WAC requirements and DEA guidelines and regulations; Ability to work
independently with little supervision; ability to lift forty (40) pounds; Provide quality service utilization
training and skills in accordance with established hospital guidelines; Posses basic understanding of
aseptic technique; possess good hearing and eyesight to perform duties; Knowledge of data entry,
billing and basic computer and smart phone sills as well as experience using telehealth zoom, doxyme
and other conferencing platforms.
