The Communications Coordinator (CC) role supports World Relief's efforts of building a vibrant church and community engagement structure that positively impacts clients, World Relief, volunteers, the church community and the community at large. The CC Coordinator will be responsible for the successful implementation and oversight of new and existing connections with staff, community, stakeholders, and volunteers that aligns with the purpose and values of the WR mission statement.
Role & Responsibilities

    • Social Media and Digital Communications:
    • Support the Development program in the daily/weekly deployment of digital content across social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), and serve as the primary responder for messages received on these platforms.
    • Facilitate with other members of the Development program team in the planning and sending of digital and print communications including but not limited to newsletter, fundraising campaigns, events and targeted donors.
    • Branding and Messaging: Work alongside CCE Coordinator in equipping, supporting and empowering staff and community partners in developing digital and print marketing materials consistent with World Relief branding guidelines and Story brand and script.
    • Storytelling:
    • Communicate the World Relief Tri-Cities impact through the stories of refugees and volunteer experiences.
    • Educate about issues related to immigration.
    • Empower, equip and invite refugees and other immigrants to share their stories.
    • Church and Community outreach events:
    • Coordinate with Volunteer Coordinator and CCEC who are assisting with marketing projects, initiatives, and development focused events.
    • Work with staff and volunteers in planning and implementing high quality events with clear calls to action of event participants.
    • Website Support:
    • Support the Development program in the review and updating of website content on a regular basis, leveraging local and f
      ational network resources.
    • Media Representative:
    • Act as the primary liaison, in coordination with the CCEC, with local media outlets; coordinating press releases and/or other media contacts.
    • Coordinate with local media for coverage of WRTC events, to include gathering waiver forms and providing pictures to various media as requested.
    • Other tasks as assigned by CCEC.

    • Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire a diverse group of people.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; familiarity with tailoring messaging to diverse stakeholder groups.
    • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines with a limited degree of supervision.
    • Must have the ability to work under pressure with flexibility in a virtual or in- person team setting.
    • Excellent problem-solving and planning abilities, and a willingness to analyze and adapt processes to better achieve goals.
    • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills; demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Able to perform well in spite of complex or ambiguous challenges.
    • Able to build positive inter-departmental relationships.
    • A self-starter with strong initiative, follow-through, and organizational skills.
    • Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and be attentive to details.
Requirements

    • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
    • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
    • MS Office skills required. Design and Marketing skills a plus.
    • Highly self-motivated with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills.
    • Direct-service experience with vulnerable populations preferred.
    • Occasional evenings or weekends required.
