Experienced MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST for a Large, busy Primary Care Practice in Pasadena Maryland (Part-time, evenings)
Competitive Salary, Serious Candidates only.
General Summary of Duties:
Greet, instruct, direct, and schedule patients and visitors. Serve as a liaison between patients, medical support staff, providers, and the public. Maintain excellent customer service skills. Check in patients, verify and update necessary information in the Company's electronic medical records system. Must have the ability to handle payments and follow cash control policies as established by the company. Assist patients with ambulatory difficulties. Ensure correct insurance coverage information. Answer telephones, screen calls, takes messages, and provide information as needed. File, coordinate lab work, physician report, etc., as needed. Screen visitors and respond to routine requests for information. Understand OSHA and HIPAA regulations and requirements. Maintain work area and waiting room in neat and orderly manner. Open, date, and distribute incoming mail. Maintain patient confidentiality. Epic experience preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Must Have Knowledge of Insurance coverages, Medical coding and terminology.
Must Have Word processing and computer experience.
Epic Experience a Plus.
Work Schedule:
Part-Time Monday through Thursday.
Required vaccinations (unless approved medical or religious exceptions): Flu and MMR
