What We Are Looking For:

JOB DESCRIPTION 

SUMMARY: 

The Esthetician is responsible for administering professional facials, waxing services and select body treatments to our guests. They will provide exceptional service to create an extraordinary guest experience, as well as maintain the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

The Esthetician shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa Culture as well as promoting our hotel values of Honesty, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Accountability and Passion for Service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Greets and welcomes spa guests upon arrival
  • Provides consistent professional facials and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices
  • Provides prompt service with each appointment and performs services within the appropriate allotted time
  • Performs prep work and properly cleans and restocks room as required
  • Properly cares for the equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls
  • Has complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas
  • Actively promotes home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals
  • Upholds the standards of sanitation and OSHA sterilization as directed by law and Spa policies and procedures
  • Actively promotes the spa, treatments, services, clinics and retail as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
  • Handles guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously
  • Provides accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  • Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all hotel amenities as well as any special events
  • Possess ability to work without direct supervision
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment
  • Must have a strong passion for assisting guests in attaining their beauty and wellness goals
  • Must be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness and beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests
  • Must have excellent facial massage techniques, possess excellent cleanliness and OSHA sanitation skills.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of the skin
  • Communicates to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
  • Must be able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions 
  • Must be detailed-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
  • Must have excellent listening and communication skills
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have the ability to interact well with guests and associates, and resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Provides general hotel information for guests
  • Attends appropriate hotel and departmental meetings; participates in and supports training and staff meetings for Still Spa
  • Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all hotel amenities as well as any special events
  • Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records 
  • Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Woodmark Hotel dress code standards
  • Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Washington cosmetology license to perform skincare services required
  •  Previous experience in a similar setting preferred
  • At least one-year customer service experience required

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a natural ability to interact with others
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must possesses excellent communication skills
  • Must have excellent listening skills 
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have the ability to effectively interact with guests and team members; and resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to sit throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of standing and walking;
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height; 
  • Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements constantly.
  • Must be able to lean forward, twist and bend frequently 
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis.
