Wage Information: $10.45 to $18.00 per hour.

• Sporting Events Representative: $10.45-$13.50
• Camp Counselor: $10.45-$15.00
• Lead Counselor: $10.45-$17.00
• Sports Management: $10.45-$18.00

This position is open to everyone, no experience is required. This is a great position to find your start with City Government! This may be a great role for high school or college students over the summer, especially those with an interest in education, childhood development, sports management, or parks and recreation. Work to assist with all of the summer recreation activities the Hall of Fame City has to offer. Perform a variety of recreation activities, like working at the summer camp and assisting with sports and events. This is a unique opportunity to learn and gain valuable skills from Parks and Recreation.

Shift: This is a part-time and/or seasonal position with variable daily work hours.
Distinguishing Features of the Class: This position is available in the Recreation Department.
This position may require physical work for play and sports events. Therefore, employees in this class must be in good physical condition. Repetitive work is expected to be performed. Duties must be performed efficiently.
Examples of Work: Includes but not limited to working sports events, camp counselors, lead counselors, sport management, and working at the Recreation Center. Responsible for personal safety practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Physical ability to work outdoors in extreme and adverse conditions is a must. Ability to carry out oral and written instructions with minimum detail. Must possess adequate communication skills and deal tactfully with citizens of the public.
Acceptable Experience and Training: Minimum age is generally 16 years old. A work permit is required for students ages 17 and under.
