JSAS Healthcare is Hiring a Peer Recovery Specialist Part Time Near Neptune, NJ

JSAS HealthCare, Inc is a non-profit outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) located in Neptune, NJ. JSAS HealthCare, Inc has been providing medication assisted treatment services to Monmouth and Ocean County residents since 1984.

Recovery Specialist position for our Maternal WRAP-Around Program at our adult outpatient substance abuse treatment facility in Neptune, NJ.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Recovery Plan
  • Educate participants on how to appropriately navigate treatment, social services and recovery support systems.
  • Provide recovery support services based on the participant’s preferences and her family’s assessed needs.
  • Reinforce, guide, and ensure the participant that recovery is possible and is built on multiple strengths, coping abilities, and resources of each individual.
  • Assist the participant with gaining skills and resources needed to initiate and maintain recovery and establishing and sustaining a social and physical environment supportive of recovery.
  • Enhance identification and participation in the recovery community.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CCAR) or, National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) preferred.
  • three (3) years of recovery and experience in the principals of recovery that assist individuals to improve their health and wellness. Knowledge of, and/or participation in medication-assisted treatment (past or current) is a plus.
