Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver in Philadelphia, PA to join our team. The Caregiver will be responsible for providing assistance with daily activities, personal care, and companionship to our clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, along with a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
· Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
· Medication Reminders: Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management as needed, following client-specific care plans and instructions.
· Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to clients' dietary preferences and restrictions, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.
· Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, sweeping, mopping, and tidying up living spaces, to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
· Companionship: Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation, recreational activities, and cultural interests to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
· Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and their families in both English and Spanish to ensure clear understanding of care needs, preferences, and instructions.
· Transportation: Escort clients to appointments, errands, and recreational activities as needed, using reliable transportation and adhering to safety protocols.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily activity logs, medication administration records, and any changes or observations in clients' health or behavior.
Qualifications:
· PCA/HHA/CNA
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or similar role preferred.
· Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude towards clients.
· Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (preferred).
· Ability to pass background checks and physical as required by state regulations.
