The Coarc Cafe is located in the Columbia Greene Community campus. We provide breakfast and lunch to staff, students, and visitors of the college as well as selling selected items from our Tradewinds retail store.
Tradewinds is a socially conscious retail space, located at 409 Warren Street, offering fair trade items from both local and global artisans, as well as items crafted by people with intellectual and developmental differences who are supported by Coarc.
Both locations were created to serve as an opportunity, to those supported by Coarc, to promote employment skills and provide meaningful work for people with intellectual and developmental differences.
Non-exempt positions
Hours: Various hours depending on location
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
A Cafe/Retail Salesperson is responsible for assisting customers as they shop within the store/cafe. Duties include greeting customers, answering questions related to the merchandise and store policies and locating items for customers.
Perform in a manner that promotes cooperation with others, e.g. consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, remain open and adaptable to change, do what you say you will do and focus on productivity not activity.
