MasterWord Services is Hiring a Collections Specialist (Part-Time) Near Houston, TX
MasterWord Services (MWS) provides language services solutions in over 250 languages, across four different continents. Services we provide include Translation,Localization, Onsite Interpreting, Video Remote Interpreting (VRI), and Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) Services. Collections Specialist (Part-Time)
The Collections Specialistwill be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding debts by contacting debtors and negotiating payment arrangements.
Status: Part-time
Location: In-Office
Roles and Responsibilities:
General duties include without limitation:
- Initiate contact with debtors through phone calls, emails, or written correspondence to discuss their outstanding debts.
- Work with debtors to establish realistic repayment plans based on their financial situation, while adhering to company policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and negotiations with debtors in the company's database or software.
- Respond to inquiries and requests from debtors regarding their accounts, providing them with information, support, and options for resolution.
- Prepare reports on the status of collections efforts, the number of resolved accounts, and outstanding balances.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic approach when dealing with debtors, aiming to build positive relationships and encourage timely payments.
- Serves as a back-up for colleagues as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a bachelor's degree or relevant certifications).
- Previous experience in collections, debt recovery, or a related field is often preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ethical and professional conduct when dealing with debtors.
- Must be willing to work occasional extensive hours to meet client needs.
