Veterans Evaluation Services is Hiring a Fantastic, Easy, Low-Key, Part-Time Administrative Assistant Position Near Lafayette, LA

-Hourly Wage of $15.00 per hour

-Applicant must make themselves available to work 7 days per week, however, actual work days and times vary from day to day and week to week. Each week's schedule will be provided at least a week in advance. The average number of workdays is expected to be 6-15 days per month, but it is highly variable

-Office is located in a professional office setting

-Casual but respectable dress is acceptable

-Typical day will have you operating as the admin. assistant, plus 1-2 and uncommonly 3 doctors. No other staff will be present, which means no silly office politics with competing co-workers

Duties include:

*Being incredibly reliable and friendly!

*Checking in/out patients (veterans)

*Basic office cleaning (wiping down surfaces, vacuuming, and organizing supplies)

*Possibly taking vital signs

*Assisting doctors with simple administrative tasks, when needed

*Being super-duper friendly

*Emailing check in/out sheet back to main office

*Willingness to chaperone sensitive exams, both male and female, if needed

It's a Dream Job!

-Extremely laid back, low intensity and low stress environment and work load. The office does not even have a phone that will need to be answered or messages that will need to be taken

- Bring in outside work! The work load during the day is light, with A LOT of down time. You are welcomed and encouraged to bring in outside work during downtime, even work that you are paid to perform from another employer, as long as it does not interfere with your responsibilities at our office

-Military veterans preferred, please apply!

-Minimal technological skills or experience required

IDEAL CANDIDATES:
Due to the fact that each weeks schedule will be different, with varying days of work available on any given week, with an anticipated average of 6-15 workdays per month, this position is ideal for:

*A semi-retired individual with great scheduling flexibility from week to week who does not require a reliable salary
*Someone with great scheduling flexibility who has other sources of income, especially if they can bring in outside work to perform while at the office during down time
*Someone more interested in being productive, getting out of the house and putting extra time to use, than they are in a stable, reliable salary that is assured from week to week

Please email your resume to Ben Jakob and include when you are available to start work.

Thank you for your interest.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Weekends as needed

Application Question(s):

  • Have you thoroughly read the job description in our post? If you need reliable income from week to week, this job is a poor fit for you, we cannot guarantee the amount of work available from week to week. Explain your answer.
  • Do you foresee this employment as being long term or short term?
  • Will chaperoning a sensitive exam, which may include a veteran removing undergarments, present an issue for you? You may need to chaperone both male and female exams.
  • Since there is some down time associated with this type of work, will you have other work that you can bring in to be productive at the office? Please explain how you plan on spending the downtime. Remember, we have no issue with you bringing in outside work as long as it does not interfere with performing your job at our office. There is a WIFI connection available with unlimited data and you can bring your own laptop.
  • Although we expect, overall, to have 6-12 days of work available per month, will you be able to make yourself available to work 7 days a week? You will know your schedule at least 5-7 days in advance, but more often closer to 2 weeks or more. You must be able to work weekends when we need you, which may be very often, to be considered for this position.
