Job Responsibilities

With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Catawba Community Mental Health Center (CCMHC), York Adult Clinic, 205 Piedmont Blvd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Under the direct supervision of the Adult Services Supervisor, employee will provide therapeutic and emergency services to targeted population of patients and their families. Will also ensure frequent interaction with other community agencies and maintain positive professional relationships.
Responsibilities for this Position Title include but are not limited to:

• Serves as York County Probate court liaison, managing court orders, designated exam schedule, and other communication with the court as needed. Is the representative at York County's monthly supplemental hearings.
• Provide medically necessary clinical services, including but not limited to, assessment, individual, family & group therapy & crisis intervention services to a targeted population and their families.Services may be provided in the clinic, in the patient's home, or other community setting as appropriate. Responsible case management services for assigned caseload. These services include referrals, advocacy, interagency staffings, & coordinating care between agencies, service providers as appropriate.
• Formulate recovery-based plans of care with person centered goals and objectives. Conduct timely reviews and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Attend and participate in Treatment Team meetings/staffings, including staffing with MD at CCMHC. Pursue continuing education and training. maintain positive professional relationships with MHC staff, and community agencies, as well as clients and their families. Work to overcome the stigma of mental illness and mental health services by providing education, training, and support services to the community at large.

For MHP Student Loan Repayment:
This position MAY be eligible for SCDMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the appliable position.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences.
Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences. Two years of experience in a clinical counseling program preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
