Latin School of Chicago is seeking a part-time, Upper School Theatre Teacher within the Performing Arts Department. The exact courses and/or directing obligations will be determined later, in part by the expertise and interest that this person brings to the role.
Part-time faculty qualify for Latin's benefits package including full medical, dental, and vision coverage with a 200% match of your 3% contribution in our retirement plan.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in performing arts related field
• Minimum 3 years of directing and/or teaching experience, preferably in grades 9-12

DESIRED PROFICIENCIES. Top candidates will have experience with:

• Incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion practices into teaching, including cultivating an inclusive and supportive climate for all students
• Theatre Production Management technical skillset
• Producer and Theatre Coordination Experience
• Providing skill-specific feedback
• Developing varied assessment types that engage different learning styles
• Responding constructively to student/observer feedback
• Collaborating with department members on productions, curriculum development, and department priorities
