Quest Village On-Call On-Site Assistant

Schedule: Three days of availability required

Pay: $16.50/hour

Position Overview: The Quest Village In-Home Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and support of residents with developmental disabilities, focusing on medication administration, personal dignity and respect, training activity implementation, social and leisure interaction, personal care, medical needs oversight, meal preparation, housekeeping duties, health and safety monitoring, emergency response, and the facilitation of personal goal achievement. This comprehensive position is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of care and support within the Quest Village community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete a medication administration course and maintain certification.
  • Comply with medication administration regulations and procedures.
  • Administer and manage medications, including communication with pharmacies.
  • Uphold dignity and respect in all interactions, ensuring personal rights.
  • Implement and document resident training activities per the annual plan.
  • Facilitate positive social and leisure activities, respecting personal choices.
  • Adhere to guidelines for personal and medical care needs of residents.
  • Monitor, report, and address any care or equipment needs.
  • Assist with meal planning and preparation, catering to special dietary needs.
  • Perform housekeeping duties for identified residents.
  • Monitor health/safety and take corrective actions or report as necessary.
  • Participate in quarterly treatment team meetings.
  • Organize and facilitate monthly on-site events for resident engagement.
  • Support individuals in achieving at least one personal goal annually.
  • Follow emergency procedures accurately during drills and actual emergencies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in common areas.
  • Respond to the internal Emergency Response System as required.
  • Report any incidents of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Ensure availability during inclement weather for resident care and safety.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Eligibility to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including transferring/positioning individuals, behavioral crisis management, and lifting up to 50lbs.
