Founded in 2015, Poppins Productions is a entertainment management and consulting company located in the Midwest. We focus on creating booking opportunities and artists development through consultation and management services. These services are integrated with business and financial literacy to equip our clientele to be better business leaders. Our services are available to entertainers from beginning to elite level. We have worked with renowned comedian Charles Walden, who stars on hit shows, "BET Comic View" and "Def Comedy." 

Our organization is eager to create new business ventures and partnership with local and national organizations, consultants, producers, coaches, dancers, i.e., and helping to create opportunities for entertainers to be successful as entertainers and business leaders. We are proud to add a few other businesses under our portfolio, Poppins Urban Podcast and Poppins Extensions Plus. 

Poppins Productions is seeking to bring onboard 2 Content & Blog Writer Internsto join our team in providing assistance for our corporate office and sister organizations, Poppins Extensions Plus and Poppins Urban Podcast. We are looking for a knowledgeable and dependable individual with an ability to be innovative and work well under pressure, especially as it relates to the entertainment and beauty world.

Content and Blog Writer Intern 

Content and Blog Writer Intern is responsible for researching industry-related topics, preparing well-structured drafts using digital word processing and publishing platforms, creating and distributing marketing copy to advertise our company and products.

Job Description: 

Their duties include but not limited to:

• Research industry-related topics
• Prepare well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms
• Create and distribute marketing copy to advertise our company and products
• Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views in blog posts
• Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)
• create, develop, and maintain process improvements and updating job aids
• Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content
• Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
• Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics
• Collaborate and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to illustrate articles and social media content
• Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates)
• Update our websites as needed

Qualifications: 

• Associates, Bachelors, or currently enrolled into an accredited college or university (preferred and but not required).
• Previous coursework and volunteer experience and/or 1-2 years of professional work experience will be considered as well. 
• Proven work experience as a Content Creator, Copywriter or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
• Time-management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with SEO and web publications
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Strong Interpersonal skills
