Position Summary:

As a Project and Change Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating operational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions, and maximizing employee adoption and usage. This role requires strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills to drive successful change implementation across Mercury’s Technical Services organization.

Essential Job Functions:

Collaborate with cross-functional “Domain” (product) teams and senior management to develop comprehensive change management strategies around implementing Agile methodologies with a product-centric focus.

Develop and execute change communication plans to ensure timely and transparent communication of operational initiatives, including drafting emails, presentations, and other relevant materials

Coordinate training sessions and workshops to equip team members with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to changes effectively. 

Proactively identify and address resistance to change through effective communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution techniques

Assess organizational readiness for change and develop strategies to address gaps and barriers to successful implementation. Evaluate team readiness for adopting agile.

Monitor the progress of change initiatives, collect feedback, and evaluate the effectiveness of change management strategies, making adjustments as necessary.

Organize, plan, and execute projects while working within constraints like budget, scope, and schedule

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field.

• Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is highly valued

Experience:

• Proven experience (5 years) in project management, as an agile scrum master, human change management, organizational development, or related field, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of change management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.

• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience in conducting change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, and resistance management.

• Solid understanding of the Agile Mindset, and Agile methodologies such as scrum and kanban.

• Experience using Jira and Confluence.

• Occasional travel to CA expected (perhaps every other month)
