The Opportunity

Pillar4 Media is seeking a Staff Writer to join its fast-growing team on one of our most exciting partnerships.

As a Staff Writer, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and other team members to write and edit in-depth service and commerce product reviews across a range of topics in the health and wellness space. You’ll also be responsible for updating and optimizing our content to drive performance and ensure accuracy for our users.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Editor, the Staff Writer will:

• Write in-depth product reviews, comparisons, and roundups (“best of” lists) to be featured across multiple partnership websites. This will require writing in a voice that matches each brand’s style while also being deeply knowledgeable and fun. These reviews will be long-form and comprehensive.
• Optimize/re-write existing content as our style guidelines, testing standards, and editorial standards evolve and improve.
• Optimize/re-write existing content as the product/brand and SEO landscape evolves.
• Uphold our high standards for editorial excellence as well as SEO and CRO best practices. Each piece of content must be optimized, on brand, targeted to meet our marketing goals, and delivered on time to meet our internal standards and those of our partners.
• Utilize (and potentially participate in) product and service testing with P4 team members for in-depth insights.

What You Bring

• Proven and citable experience, certifications, and other noteworthy authority in the categories in which you are writing
• 3-5 years of writing experience, ideally with a portfolio of existing author bylines on credible, content-focused websites
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye toward SEO, click, and conversion rate optimization
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at once and self-direct timelines
• Drive to gain expertise on subject material that may be new to you
• Familiarity working in a challenging, fast-paced environment
• Copy editing experience is a bonus

The Package
