Staff Geologist/ Hydrogeologist II-III

We are looking for a creative, passionate, and organized Staff Hydrogeologist/Engineer/
Geologist to join our Mining team. Our team's breadth of work is expanding, and we are looking for support on our mining projects with a focus on collecting and managing hydrogeologic field data, overseeing well drilling and construction, preparing hydrogeologic/engineering reports, and other groundwater characterization activities. This position will be primarily located in Nevada with regular travel to field locations throughout Nevada as well as occasional travel to other states and international locations.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting field work and providing support to other staff in the field on field programs such as well installation, borehole logging, aquifer testing, documentation, water, soil, and rock sampling, installing and downloading field instrumentation, and other similar duties, as required.
  • Developing and maintaining rigorous field notes and documentation of field activities and data collected.
  • Performing office duties including developing field reports, as-built diagrams, data management, data analysis, and working with local and remote teams.
  • Collecting, generating and analyzing data such as water quality, water levels, and pumping rates, in support of client projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Civil/Environmental

Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science,
Watershed Science, or similar is required.

  • At least 3 years’ experience conducting field work at mine sites OR a strong aptitude for field work.
  • Experience generating, working with, and analyzing data using spreadsheets, databases, or similar systems.
  • Drilling oversight, well testing/sampling experience preferred, aquifer testing experience is a plus.
  • Experience with hydrology/hydrogeology is preferred.

  • Ability to travel both nationally and internationally including a valid driver’s license

Total Compensation:

The starting pay range for this position is $32.69 - $38.46/ hour depending upon years of experience and education. Pay is negotiable for a higher level of experience. LRE Water reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range depending on experience. LRE Water also distributes bonuses and 401(k) contributions based on annual company profitability.
Employer paid benefits increase total compensation by approximately 20%. Additionally, LRE

Flexible/Hybrid Work Options:

LRE Water offers a hybrid work environment that promotes flexibility for our employees and encourages work/life balance. This role is a 100% remote opportunity based out of Nevada. Field work will require travel, long field days, weekend work, and night work that will occasionally result in weeks with more than 40-hours of work. Mileage, expenses, and/or per diem paid for work travel.

Travel Requirements
This position has the potential for national and international travel to complete field work requirements.
