https://globalcampus.uark.edu/Summary of Job Duties:The Online Student Coach's primary responsibility is to provide student support coaching services for current online students. This position is responsible for the continual innovation and implementation of top tier student support services for online students at the University of Arkansas. This support includes moderating a student social media platform, host webinars, and research tasks as assigned. The Online Student Coach reports to the Online Student Coaching Coordinator.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • At least one year of experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience successfully working with people from diverse cultures

  • Experience providing student or customer support via phone, email or chat

  • Experience operating in University student information systems and/or Slate

  • Experience working in higher education student support initiatives

  • Experience working at the University of Arkansas

  • Excellent oral and written communication skillsExperience working independently to achieve objectives and meet goals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the organization and administration of various higher education academic and social programs

  • Strong analytical skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, and drive actions

  • Knowledge of campus and community resources

  • Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social programs

$15.00 per hour
