Springfield Public Schools is Hiring a Remote Temporary High School English Language Arts Teacher - Part Time (0.5 FTE) - Brattain Campus Online

Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Temporary part-time (0.5 FTE) High School English Language Arts Teacher for Brattain Campus Online.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications that support our district vision "Every Student a Graduate Prepared for a Bright and Successful Future".

  • A valid State of Oregon teaching license with a high school level Language Arts endorsement;
  • Responsible for instruction of multiple grade levels: Writing and rules of composition and the analysis of literature;
  • Knowledge and experience with high school-aged students;
  • Ability to effectively manage and supervise students and their work;
  • Motivated to establish effective working relationships with staff, colleagues, students, parents, and the community;
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS);
  • Strong student management skills and the ability to establish a sound system of classroom management;
  • Positive and effective communication and collaboration skills desired;
  • Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.
