Overview

SOSi is seeking an Insurance/Medical Billing Consultant to join our team in El Paso, TX supporting our customer on the buildout of a system that includes a requirement to perform the billing of insurance companies for services rendered, more specifically translation and interpretation services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building and deploying foundational technological capabilities that can be utilized to augment manual processing.
• Responsible for insurance AR credits and processing procedure(s).
• Reviews reports, research, and resolves issues.
• Works with co-workers to resolve insurance payment and billing automation.
• Recommend accounts process workflows.
• Answers patient payment, billing, and insurance processing questions and resolves issues.
• Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPPA laws and guidelines about patient records.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or higher. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Minimum five (5) years combined medical billing and payment experience required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of state & federal collections guidelines.
