PIE Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced remote Cloud Infrastructure Architect for this Direct Hire position in Rochester Hills (Must live in the greater Rochester Hills area). This this position will be responsible for collaborating across teams to plan and design IT solutions and services. The candidates responsibilities will range from global planning and project execution, to maintaining the Enterprise Architecture Repository. The candidate will coordinate with functional Architects, IT Managers, Project Managers and Vendors to deliver solution designs to leadership for approval as part of the IT project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Owns the solution design deliverables in support of large complex cloud Projects.
• Design and implement Enterprise Architecture repository – Project Design Assets, Technology Standards, Risks Tracking, Score Cards, SBARS, Technical Strategy, Quoting Templates, and RFI Responses.
• Manage Enterprise Architecture repository workflow including change management
• Enterprise Architecture repository annual audit/cleanup.
• Own enterprise architecture standards lifecycle.
• Integrate Disaster Recovery into all aspects of solution design work.
• Ability to create formal executive level summaries and recommendations.
• Ability to work well in a “weak matrix” environment is a must, collaborating closely with other technical architects will be a primary role for this position.
• Ability to review complex cloud infrastructure deliverables, provide direction, ensure concurrence between technical teams.
• Stays current on technology trends, future releases, vendor roadmaps, product lifecycles. Recommends upgrades and new technology that can bring enhanced functionality, cost savings and reduced risk to the company.
• Formally documents and raises all technology risks, work with functional architects and vendors to design, document and implement exceptions to system standards. (i.e. software out of support, capacity issues, stability issues, security issues, nonstandard vendor requirements, etc.)
• Mentor IT Architects and System Engineers. Create learning opportunities and work with Engineers to map out career paths into the Architecture space.
• Create, modify, support Azure resources
• Monitor Azure/AWS consoles for alerts
• Process ticket queue for Azure/AWS requests
• Level 1 cloud infrastructure support
• Position does require to be part of an on-call rotation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or (can substitute for 15 years of IT experience), 10 years IT experience.
• Flexible schedule
• Proven experience as a Software Architect or Cloud Engineer similar role
• Strong knowledge of identity access management, Angular, PL/SQL, AJAX, rat, vaticinate.
• Web accessibility, MongoDB, CSS
• Proficient in designing and implementing scalable and secure software solutions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
