NAMI Chicago is Hiring a Remote Director of Workplace Wellness

Description:

Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Chief of Staff

Office Location: 1801 W. Warner, Suite 202, Chicago IL; required in-office minimum of 3 days per week (hybrid work policy subject to change)

Who We Are Looking For:

NAMI Chicago has a rich history of training and consulting to support our mission of raising awareness of mental health and reducing stigma. We are expanding this work by establishing a dedicated practice focused on enhancing workplace culture through mental health awareness training, self-care skill building, and consulting on wellness policies and strategies. The Director of Workplace Wellness will lead the design, implementation, and measurement of the strategy and execution of NAMI Chicago’s Workplace Wellness practice.

We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Workplace Wellness to identify new business development opportunities, cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and drive revenue growth. The Director of Workplace Wellness will be primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day training or consulting activities aimed at improving our clients’ organizational well-being or professional development. This role includes supervising three full-time staff members and a team of mental health and wellness professionals. The ideal candidate is a skilled project manager with experience in healthcare or educational consulting and business development. Importantly, our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about mental health and wellness in the workplace and committed to fostering well cultures within organizations in the Chicagoland area.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of a multi-year strategy to establish and grow a Workplace Wellness training and consulting practice at NAMI Chicago, ensuring alignment with revenue and impact goals.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and partnerships that support the strategic objectives of the practice and organization.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and Board members, to enhance collaboration and drive business growth.
  • Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and other materials to support business development efforts and effectively market the Workplace Wellness practice.
  • Supervise the development and implementation of content and materials to promote the Workplace Wellness practice and its services.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in organizational management, organizational psychology, and wellness training and consulting to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Utilize NAMI Chicago’s customer relationship management platform to track and manage relationships with potential, new, and existing clients.
  • Define key performance indicators and collaborate internally to establish methods for measurement and reporting on the success of business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with administrative, development, and program teams to ensure the successful execution of business development initiatives.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to multiple full-time staff members, setting clear expectations and responsibilities for their roles.
  • Oversee the development and management of a network of independent contractors supporting training and consulting efforts in mental health, organizational psychology, organizational management, workplace wellness, and culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and objectives of NAMI Chicago.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify issues and develop creative solutions to overcome challenges and achieve business development goals.
  • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management principles and practices, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach, with a commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of clients to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 7 years of experience in healthcare or education consulting, or in sales and marketing.
  • Track Record: Proven track record of success in business development, with a focus on revenue generation and partnership building.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative business development strategies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate training and consulting practices.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word. Proficiency in Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange; Windows operating systems; and other software routinely used by NAMI Chicago

Available Benefits:

  • Compensation range begins at $100,000/year and is commensurate with experience. Bonus structure provided if revenue milestones are met.
