Cleveland Rape Crisis Center (CRCC) supports survivors of rape and sexual abuse; promotes healing and prevention; and advocates for social change.
Founded in 1974, Cleveland Rape Crisis Center (CRCC) has grown from a grassroots, volunteer-run hotline to a 70 plus employee nonprofit organization. CRCC provides counseling, victim advocacy, case management, prevention programs, and 24-hour crisis services to survivors of rape, sexual abuse, and human trafficking as a nationally recognized program.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join Cleveland Rape Crisis Center as a dynamic member of our Access to Care Team! The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience of working with underserved and vulnerable populations, including those experiencing mental illness or substance use.
CRCC offers the unique opportunity for a hybrid work environment. Employees are allowed to split their time to work from home, in addition to working at any of their six locations, across four counties.
Position Summary
The Case Manager is responsible for providing effective linkage, collaboration, and referrals to assist clients in their healing process and to reduce barriers to services. In line with CRCC’s coordinated care model, the Case Manager assures that clients receive timely access to necessary services and assists with daily needs and goal planning. The Case Manager meets clients where they are and is creative and open-minded about how to best assist clients in meeting their needs. The Case Manager utilizes a strength-based and trauma-informed approach to client care with survivors of human trafficking, rape and sexual abuse.
Essential Job Functions
  • Maintains individual caseload and assists clients whose lives have been disrupted due to sexual violence to regain independence and stability.
  • Adheres to predetermined monthly productivity requirements.
  • Refers and links survivors of sexual violence and their families to appropriate community agencies such as legal services, long-term counseling, safe housing, and other resources to address basic needs.
  • Coordinates with other CRCC team members for service coordination and to assure timely services for all survivors.
  • Monitor client’s progress through the creation and evaluation of individual service plans (ISPs)
  • Monitors cases by verifying clients' attendance, observing and evaluating engagement and responses, advocating for needed services, obtaining additional resources, intervening in crises, providing personal support.
  • Maintains clients' records and event records by reviewing case notes, logging events and progress.
  • Communicates clients' progress in interdisciplinary meetings and evaluations; disseminating results and obstacles to progress.
  • Travels to other organizations and throughout the community to meet clients offsite.
  • Disseminate agency material to local partnering agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred; minimum of two years of experience as a social service provider required
  • LSW or LPC preferred
  • Possess knowledge and experience of working with underserved and vulnerable populations, including those experiencing mental illness or substance use
  • Ability to connect with others and forge strong relationships
  • Committed to the mission of CRCC to serve survivors and prevent sexual violence
  • Valid OH driver's license.
Hours of Work
This is a full time (40-hours a week) nonexempt position requiring flexible hours of work for the purpose of meeting the needs of survivors of sexual assault. Some evening and weekend hours required. This position requires travel within the community.
Compensation and Benefits
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive compensation package including salary, 403(b) contributions and match, medical, dental and vision, generous paid time off including 4 weeks vacation, 12 sick days, 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, and 4 self-care days.
