Bode is Hiring a Remote Multi-Family Project Architect (FT)

The Architect will plan and design, and/or facilitate the execution of new multi-family building designs, and plan, design and/or facilitate the execution of building renovations according to clients’ needs, desires, and financial resources. This position will be a full-time, hybrid position. 
Who We Are: 
Bode is a fully-integrated real estate development company with Architectural, Engineering, and Construction departments. We were locally founded in Seattle, Washington and have remained a family-owned and operated company since 1992. Over the last 20 years, our company has specialized in managing multifamily communities. We have since expanded our team and are building ground up construction projects. We currently own and manage 22 properties across the greater Seattle area and surrounding. We manage all aspects of Real Estate Development including Engineering and Design, Acquisitions, Development, Construction Management, Property Management and Asset Management. We are moving to complete a pipeline of Multi-Family building work of 7 stories and lower for large buildings and/or large sites for apartments.

The candidate that will join our team:
  • Active board licensure required.
  • Will have the opportunity to contribute to new innovative design/construction workflows.
  • Having Mutli-Family project experience is a plus.
  • Will have high REVIT skills in Architecture.
  • Will have a passion for leveraging technology to innovate design and construction processes.
  • Effective communication and project management; follow up as needed throughout the permitting process & contract administration.

Requisite Qualifications:
  • Take Pre-Design plans through Schematic Design, through Design Development, Through Building Permit set creation, through Building Permit process with the Seattle or other jurisdiction as required, through the Construction Document Phase for our construction department and then through the Contract Administration phase with our construction department. 
  • Work as Project Architect on project workload handling individual projects as a Project Architect with multiple large projects at the same time. Work with consultants (MEP, Structural, Civil, Landscape, Energy) to complete all plans for Building Permit then actual Construction.
Education / Experience Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Architecture, Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field with 3 years experience as a licensed Architect, or as a professional designer/intern whom can, through experience, take a project from Schematic Design all the way through building construction completion. Quality is the goal not licensure but Licensure is a definite plus! 8 Years experience a very desired skill set.
  • Experience in design/build, construction, architecture, engineering. .
  • Familiarity with the following software is preferred: Revit, Navisworks (clash detection), Bluebeam and google office.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, building codes, and other technical product and material specifications, as well as manage VDC obligations and responsibilities.
  • Thorough understanding of common site logistic issues, building systems and related means and methods.
  • Expertise with construction coordination processes is strongly preferred.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual who works well with multi-disciplinary teams in deadline-driven environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Passion for technology and its potential leveraging capabilities.
  • Proficient in the use of Google office environment.
