Closing Date: 1/26/24 or until filled Information Technology Manager of Business Services and Cybersecurity Category 07 on the A&S Salary Scale, 12-month work year Salary Range: $91,331 - $150,386 Role Overview The Information Technology (IT) Manager of Business Services and Cybersecurity is responsible for three critical areas: cybersecurity, business operations, and the project management office (PMO). The individual will play a key role in driving operational excellence, mitigating cyber risk, and ensuring the seamless integration of technology projects across the school system. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
Ten (10) years combined progressive experience in technology management, technical project management, and team supervisory and leadership responsibilities.
Proven track record of success in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, optimizing business processes, and/or managing complex projects.
Strong understanding of financial and contract management.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and experience in cybersecurity monitoring, response, planning, and policy development.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Outstanding communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and recommend solutions; keen eye for detail, the ability to handle multiple, complex tasks, and prioritize ongoing and new work assignments.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must have regular and predictable attendance.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Project Management Certification such as CAPM, PMP, APM, or PPM.
Cybersecurity Certification such as CISM, GSLC, or CISSP.
Familiarity with WCPS policies, goals, and programs.
Experience working in a preK-12 or college/university setting.
Role Responsibilities
IT Cybersecurity
Oversee the design and implementation of a robust cybersecurity posture to protect our data, systems, and infrastructure
Lead and manage the IT cybersecurity team, policies, and procedures
Proactively evaluate, prioritize, and address security threats and vulnerabilities
Maintain compliance with industry regulations and security standards
Ensure accurate and evergreen disaster recovery plans (DRP) and incident recovery plans (IRP)
Business Operations - Budget, Forecasting, and Contracts
Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and partners
Implement and streamline financial and operational processes
Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements
Oversee the Federal USAC program (E-Rate) and other grants
Partner and collaborate with the WCPS Finance department
Project Management Office (PMO)
Establish and govern a high-performing PMO to foster successful project execution
Define project methodologies, standards, and best practices (Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM, ITIL etc.),
Manage projects, portfolios, prioritize resources, and track progress
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
Continuously identify opportunities for process and security improvement and implements applicable technologies and/or process changes
Remain current by learning new technologies and keeping track of industry developments
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission of WCPS Information Technology
