Florida Orthopaedic Institute is Hiring a Remote PATIENT ACCESS REPRESENTATIVE I - SCHEDULING - MUST RESIDE IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA

This is a fully remote position and candidates MUST reside within the State of Georgia.

Schedules available in Eastern and Central time zones!

Available Work Schedules

Monday – Friday with the possibility of a floating Saturday schedule

7:30am-4:30pm | 8:00am–5:30pm | 8:30am–5:30pm

In this role you will:

The Patient Access Representative I: will be trained in either Registration-Scheduling or Benefit Verification to support the FOI Physician Clinics. Schedulers must obtain all information related to the appointment to include patient demographics, related benefit information and method of referral in a call center environment. They must schedule patients based on need and physician protocol and are responsible for confirming all referral requirements are entered so that the Authorization Representative may obtain referral if required. Opportunity for promotion to Patient Access Rep II by cross-training in both Scheduling and Benefits areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register all new patient in the computer system by obtaining patient demographics and insurance information and source of referral. Confirm and update all information from prior visit if needed.
  • Handle all scheduling requests according to physician and authorization protocols.
  • Assure compliance with all company plans policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute
  • All other duties as assigned.

About You:

  • Candidate must be a high school graduate.
  • 1 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Registration, scheduling, healthcare benefits experience helpful.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Able to multi-task and handle high call volumes.
  • Must have working knowledge of Windows based computer environment and typing skills.
